Many studies have been performed on the use of Ginkgo Biloba to enhance mental performance – some of the studies did not find any positive results, but many have linked the plant extract to a boost in various mental functions. WebMD reports that several studies have shown a memory-improvement in patients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
The tree from which this extract is taken is also called a “living fossil”. These trees are some of the oldest known species of trees and is said to have survive many extinction events.
